Reunion Stories
Thank you! Thank you!
Tom and I had such a wonderful time at the 60's
Thank you, Joe, for all the work you did to round up our
class and to keep everyone informed.
And thank you to everyone who contributed to the
reunion. Ken George did a remarkable job organizing the
reunion. Mary Beth Seymour received a well-deserved standing
ovation. All the classes had hard-working representatives.
In H.S., there seemed to be such a distinction between the
classes, but last night we were ONE (and most
everyone looked about the same age). We found ourselves looking
first at the name badge to see if we recongized
the name, then looked at the face.
And it was soooo interesting to
see and meet siblings e.g. Angie Adams and her family could have filled
their own table last night. We met Frank Belyan's
sister (never knew he had a sister). And so on.
It was so fun.
I welcome others who were at the reunion to share some of
their thoughts or funny stories.

If I had to pick one thing that amazed me most about the reunion weekend, it would be how much it meant to two people who didnt even graduate from St. Als Jan Szymczak, who went through the eighth grade with us and played football before heading off so Salesian High School, and Mike Madden who also played grade school ball before attending Catholic Central. I listened to those guys recount story after story about how much their childhood friendships and experiences at St. Als meant to them. They couldnt get enough of what was going on at the reunion. Jan, by the way, went on to become a successful high school teacher and coach. Mike pursued law and spent a lot of time helping Native Americans on Indian reservations in the South.
The mega reunion reinforced something for me that Ive long contended that as kids, we had one hell of an effect on each other in determining who we would become. I sure hope we can all get together again some day in the future.
