About Me
Member of the Edward & Mary Anne/Wayne/Marlene & Richard (Dick) Klein family who have been in St Alphonsus for 3 generations. My sister Claudia (1969) and brothers Richard and Marty attended as well.
I moved to Mebourne Australia in 1978. My daughter Nina (30) has 3 countries: American mother, English father, Australian born. She loves Aussie best.
It's was an exciting and sometimes difficult transition into a world culture back then but I feel blessed to have had such an amazing journey. I have been very lucky to have seen so many countries and have met so many wonderful people. Life is great!
I have had my own businesses over the last 25 years and they are varied & stimulating.
I was in Detroit in 2005 (after a 16 yr absence) just in time for our 35th Class Reunion at Camp Dearborn! How much fun it was to see my classmates - - and they actually remembered me Post a CommentOops! The words you entered did not match the given text. Please try again. 2 Comments
How are all my ex classmates? Seems so long ago and yet thoughts of walking the halls haunt me - do they U? Today it's Autumn and it's still Summer. I live opposite to you but it's still
the same earth. Get to New Zealand - it is the most beautiful country. I spent 12 days on the road - doing a Thelma & Louise with my NYC/Aussie friend. We had a helicopter ride thru the glaciers and landed on one for a snowball fight in shorts & sandles. Then come to Melbourne - voted the World's Most Liveable City - I'll show you around. Susan
Susie: great to hear from you !! I was just thinking about the reunion back in 2005, since it will soon be 40 years since we have been out of St. Al's. I had a lot of fun that day talking to everyone.
In my profile I said I just became a grandfather .... a bit of an understatement. My son married a lady with two kids and they had one of their own last August. So I have 3 grandkids all at once. They are now 6 (boy) 4 (girl) and 6 months (girl). Do you have any pictures of Australia you can post ?? or do you have pictures on your Facebook page ?? I'm not much of a traveler, but it would be neat to visit Australia ... except I wouldn't want to drive ... over 40 years of experience on American roads would get me (or some poor local) killed if I attempted to drive on the "wrong" side of the road |
